My Background

When I was a child I loved to sketch, my father was so thrilled and proud of my artistic abilities. During my high school years he would encourage me to take art classes which I did attend one or two classes only. 

He inadvertently changed my career direction when he put me to work at a summer job in construction and as many sons have done

When I was a child I loved to sketch, my father was so thrilled and proud of my artistic abilities. During my high school years he would encourage me to take art classes which I did attend one or two classes only. 

He inadvertently changed my career direction when he put me to work at a summer job in construction and as many sons have done, I followed in my father’s footsteps in the civil engineering construction industry. It is only after my retirement that have I risen to the challenge of rekindling that God given talent that has been dormant for so many years My passion for creating original art has since flourished and I am like a new born child experiencing a colorful world for the first time. 

I would characterize my style of art as modern folk. My only formal training was those high school classes. I am a self taught artist acquiring skills and techniques through trial and error being very successful. I am very fortunate to have a close friend that was a art instructor who has invested his time with me for a bit of that one on one teaching and instruction with advise.
